Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman was an American female gymnast and a captain for her team in the US female Olympic gymnastics 2012 Fierce Five team and in 2016. In 2016, she was part of the Final Five. Aly Raisman is an American gymnast America who was awarded gold medals at the 2012 Olympics. This made her the first American gymnast in the Olympics to win the most medals. At the 2016 Olympics she took home gold in the team event which gave her and teammate Gabby Douglas the distinction of having being among the few Americans to earn back-to-back team golds. Additionally, she won silver medals in the all-around individual event and in floor exercise. In the three years between the two Olympics the athlete took a break. Also, she was a among the gold-winning American squads at the two World Championships. Gymnastics was her first sport since age two, and her favourite sport is floor exercise. Aly works with the Uniting Against Lung Cancer Organization to honor and remember her mother. She is planning to pursue a career in fashion and hopes to broaden her line of signature leotards as well as socks in the future. Fierce, a new book she's working on, is due out later in the year.
